Hilo Subaru invites the public to a pet adoption, food and supply drive on behalf of the Hawaii Island Humane Society from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 25 at 1 Keaa St. in Hilo.
There will be complimentary “Subaru Love a Pet Goodie Bags” with every adoption.
HIHS will have dogs and kittens looking for new homes. In addition, the community is encouraged to stop by and donate pet care supplies such as bleach, cat litter, dish soap, paper towels, trash bags, old linens (towels, blankets and sheets), pet food and treats.
“Loving homes are needed for dogs and cats, and the public is encouraged to donate pet food and care supplies,” said sales manager Tim Reed.
Sign wavers on the street fronting the business will be encouraging the public to stop by to donate supplies or adopt a pet, said Duane Mendoza, manager of the HIHS Keaau Shelter.
